Or the fact that I had taken down "Dracula vs Frankenstein". I was checking out the possibility that my copy was PD. I played it looking for a notice and I did find it in the opening credits, but I had to look twice. The notice was flashed so quickly that if you blinked you'd miss it. I'm not exagerating.

I found the info I was talking about at the USCO site. This is their section on copyright law for films before 1978.
